The Numbers

We measured what others
preferred not to count.

0%

Bacterial reduction

Average CFU count per cm² before and after Fibre hot water extraction — tested across 40 Lagos homes.

Fibre Internal Lab Data, 2025

0g

Dust extracted per m²

Average dry weight of particulate matter removed from a wall-to-wall carpet that had been vacuumed weekly for 12 months.

Fibre Field Measurement Study, Lagos

0hrs

Dry time in Lagos humidity

Our extraction process removes 95% of moisture. Average drying time during rainy season — versus 18–24 hrs for steam shampooing.

Comparative Drying Study, 2024

0mo

Average between cleans

How long most Lagos homeowners go between professional carpet cleans — during which harmattan deposits accumulate to dangerous density.

Lagos Homeowner Survey, n=312

"A carpet that looks clean can harbour 200,000 bacteria per square inch. Sight is not a cleaning standard."

The Process

Three acts.
One transformation.

Close-up macro photography of cream carpet fibres showing embedded dust particles and compressed pile
Step 01 — Pre-Treatment

The fibres tell us everything before we begin.

Before any water touches your carpet, our technicians analyse fibre type, pile density, and soil composition. A wool rug from Balogun market is treated differently from a synthetic wall-to-wall in a Lekki duplex. Pre-spray enzyme formula is applied to break down organic bonds — the chemistry does 30% of the work before the machine starts.

Step 02 — Hot Water Extraction

Water at 85°C. Pressure at 200 PSI. Nothing survives.

Our truck-mounted extraction units inject heated water at controlled pressure into the pile, agitating and suspending particulate matter — then immediately vacuum it out. The cycle completes in a single pass. Harmattan silica, pet dander, and 18 months of accumulated biology are flushed and removed in the same motion.

Step 03 — Grooming & Drying

The pile stands back up. So does the room.

Counter-rotation brush grooming lifts compacted fibres to their original standing height — the difference between a carpet that looks cleaned and one that looks new. Industrial air movers reduce drying time to 3.5 hours average, safe even during Lagos rainy season. We do not leave until the carpet passes our moisture meter threshold.

I had a 3×4m cream shag rug in my sitting room that I was genuinely about to throw out. After Fibre came through, my housekeeper asked me if it was new. That is the only review I have.

Our conference room carpet was the source of two formal complaints from clients about musty smell. We had it shampooed twice — it kept coming back. One Fibre extraction and the smell has not returned in four months.

I manage 12 furnished apartments in Ikoyi. Tenant turnover used to mean replacing carpets every 2 years. Since I started using Fibre between tenancies, I have not replaced a single carpet in 18 months. The numbers work.
